Rediscovering Bailey Banks & Biddle, Forrest Cromwell, Jack, Dr. Singh, Jim Feagins, Moe Parzoe, Beogram RX & More Through Kyle's Weekend Visit! Wow, Who Knew?!? Cheers Everyone!!
It's such a wonderful thing to be able to string memories together and to reconnect with certain things and to remember certain people in our lives all because of something that starts a domino effect/ chain reaction. In this case it was Kyle's recent visit here this past weekend to see us here at our home in northern Virginia. It's been fun, it's been nice to have these old doors open once again. So let me tell you something about all of this as it's curious and fun and so true to real life!
My video and pictures I just made.
The paragraph avove I wrote years ago and never finished or published this post until now, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 now at 12:27pm as I get ready to proof and post this from the time I was the wine manager at @ColonialLiquors Washington DC NW between 19th and 20th Streets I recall , northwest!?
It was where I met Denise Ribant that is still a dear friend of ours, as well as John and Sue Girman.
Mr Forrest Cromwell was intriduced to me by Jack the manager at Colonial Liquors at the time, Forrest was a kenn talented precise, meticulous clock repairman that worked part time repiring clocks for the Smithsonian, as well as he was the one steering the barges down the C& O Canal for years that came to Georgetown and returned. I bought this Bailey Banks and Diddle clock for Lynne as a birthday present! still works beautifully but needs an oil update and checkup! miss you Forrest!
Jim Feagins I met and he sold us our house through the realty balloon company!
Worked with Moe Parzoe that was lter hired by the Mayflower Wines and Spirits that then hired me after an interview at Mo's suggestion. Thanks Moe! It was a true pleasure to work with you Moe at both stores. We had some great times together at both.
Before working at Colonial Liquors I got my start working for Alan Sahm the owner of Rex Wine and Spirits on Wisconsin Avenue, NW, right at the border of DC and Maryland, across the street now from the Mazza Gallery. That is whete I met @DanKravitz the wine manager.
