Christmas Tree Car-Vans Caravaning In The Merry White Damp Snow, December 2009
I believe that this was Saturday morning, December 5th, 2009 as I worked my way into Washington D.C. to get to my job. Seems like even in this weather people were out getting their Christmas trees. I first noticed it by the Meadows Farm nursery there at where South Street runs into Route 50 in Falls Church, Virginia. I was glad that I had my Canon camera with me and I started snapping away as quickly as I could not to miss all these green trees strapped to the tops of the cars on their journey yet again to the homes where they would be nursed, fed and sheltered as they wore their ornaments and lights for the next three weeks or so during the holiday season.
I think I got some pretty impressive pictures showing the elements and the snow and the rain and the wind all furiously doing their things on this particular Saturday morning in northern Virginia on December 5th, 2009. Impressive.
I know that I will write more now that it is Tuesday, December 24th, 2009 and I am here at home in northern Virginia and feeling the coldness of this night even here inside in our basement. Brrr... it sure has turned cold this dark evening with quite a healthy wind. I might have to put a sweater on.
Happy Holidays in the meantime to one and to all. I hope you like these pictures as they capture a time and a critical part of the Christmas holidays and what we have to do in putting it all together to enjoy on December 25th, 2009. Cheers, TONY
